SLOW-NO-WAKE ZONE IN STONINGTON HARBOR

A Town meeting has been set for Monday, 21 March from 7:00-9:00 PM at Stonington High School to vote on the Slow-No-Wake Zone Ordinance proposed by Stonington Harbor Commission.

WADAWANUCK SQUARE LAMPPOSTS

The Friends of Wadawanuck Square have announced that the SVIA has very generously offered $3,000 in matching funds to pay for the refurbishment of the beautiful old lampposts in Wad Square.

FLOOD SEASON

Spring rains bring flooded basements.  If your basement is prone to flooding, consider installation of a sump pump or other leak prevention measures.  It is dangerous to have water around boilers and electric outlets.  Our Fire Department is put in a difficult position because The Department of Environmental Protection does not approve of basement water pumped onto roads and into storm drains as this water is typically contaminated with oils, chemicals, and/or detritus.

BREAK-INS

Downtown Mystic has experienced a rash of break-ins at businesses and into parked cars.  Lock up!
