“This is an important water conservation message from the Aquarion Water Company for our Mystic and Stonington customers.   As the moderate drought continues throughout Connecticut, Aquarion is urging customers to increase their water conservation efforts.

We are requesting that customers reduce outdoor lawn watering to a maximum of two days a week. This applies to irrigation systems, hose-end sprinklers, and soaker hoses, while use of a hand-held hoses for watering is acceptable at any time.

This will help ensure everyone has the water they need, when they need it. Thank you for your cooperation.

Additional outdoor and indoor conservation tips are available at”

In accordance with Ordinance SBO-07, garbage must be kept in closed and secured containers, tightly sealed, in order for it not to be accessible to animals  except for the day of the collection ONLY (Tuesday), when yellow bags may be put out at the curb no earlier than 6 am.
